Pedro Martino works in Asturias, extracting the best of the land, products and tradition to present a cuisine of the region.
Before settling down in his eponymous restaurant, Pedro undertook several gastronomic adventures. He opened his first restaurant on the outskirts of his hometown of Oviedo, El Cabroncín, where he already showed signs that would be confirmed with the opening of L'Alezna (Caces), a project that earned him a Michelin star. In the end, the project did not take off because people did not travel outside the big cities, so he returned to Oviedo and opened Naguar, with an informal offer of dishes and portions. At the end of 2018 he moved Naguar to a hotel on the seafront in Ribadesella. It did not take off and Martino ended up devoting himself exclusively to his restaurant.
He was also present in Madrid as a consultant for the restaurant La Guisandera de Piñera, and finally decided to reclaim the building that housed his first restaurant to try his luck again with the restaurant that bears his name: Pedro Martino.
