Mara Zamora Crespo

Founder and General Director of the Spanish Foundation for Rewilding – Rewilding Spain Mara Zamora leads initiatives that restore nature’s central role in maintaining ecosystem balance. A lawyer by training and an international project manager by vocation, she combines strategic vision, humanistic sensitivity, and transformative leadership to promote nature-based solutions addressing challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and rural depopulation.

With over 15 years of experience in foundations, Ibero-American cooperation, and higher education, Mara has led programs at institutions such as the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) and the Fundación Carolina, managing strategic alliances and large-scale budgets. In parallel, she is the founder of MSA Spain Friendly, an educational atelier that connects humanistic knowledge with contemporary learning needs.

Her career demonstrates a strong commitment to building bridges between Europe and Ibero-America, between academia and action, and between law and nature, always with an integrative, educational, and transformative approach.
