David Yárnoz
Chef at El Molino de Urdániz** (Urdániz, Navarra)
The changes in the landscape and the cycle of the seasons are very much present in David Yárnoz's cuisine.
Under the guidance of his mentor, Luis Irizar, he discovered his passion for cooking and in 2004 he took over the kitchen at the family restaurant, Molino de Urdániz, where he began his small culinary revolution.
In 2007, David Yárnoz obtained the first Michelin star for El Molino de Urdániz, and in November 2018 he obtained the second Michelin star, entering the culinary history of Navarre as the first restaurant with two stars.
Another milestone in his career came in November 2019, when he opened the Molino de Urdániz restaurant in Taiwan, located in the Musa luxury hotel in Taipei. A replica of his kitchen 10,474 km away, it offers diners most of the dishes found in the "mother house". In August 2020, the Molino de Urdániz in Taipei will open to the public.
In the Michelin Guide 2024, Molino de Urdániz Navarra has been awarded the Green Star in recognition of its commitment to sustainability.
