Eneko Axpe likes to point out that he is the first and only scientist in his family, thanks to scholarships.
He has a PhD in materials physics from the University of the Basque Country and the University of Oxford, and a postdoctoral degree from the University of Cambridge. He spent time at Harvard and was awarded a Marie Curie fellowship.
He has worked for NASA on various projects studying the conditions of astronauts in space. He has also worked for food companies such as Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat, which develop plant-based products.
He has collaborated with chef Eneko Atxa on the possibilities that artificial intelligence can bring to the world of haute cuisine.
